Imagine pulling up to an electric vehicle (EV) charging station and paying for your charge with a simple tap of your bank card. No apps, no registrations, just hassle-free convenience. Thanks to an exciting partnership between smartlab Innovationsgesellschaft mbH and Switchio, this seamless charging experience is now a reality in Germany.
Switchio is helping to transform public transport in Slovenia through open-loop contactless ticketing. This innovation brings seamless, card-based payments to more cities. As a result, it is attracting a new generation of riders.
Switchio and NAKA executed a successful proof-of-concept in Switzerland and El Salvador, enabling customers with a self-custody crypto wallet linked to a NAKA Card, the world’s first decentralized payment card for use on standard POS terminals, to make crypto payments with the same speed and ease as customers using standard credit or debit cards.
The success in Valparaíso was followed by the expansion of the project to the Biobío region, where the contactless payment system was introduced at 26 stations of the Biotrén railway network in 8 cities.
In Lagos, Nigeria, we deployed an EMV card payment solution in public transport buses. Together with our partners Sterling Bank and Mikroelektronika, we implemented the first such EMV solution on the African continent.
We are introducing the option to pay for public transport using a bank payment card. Just board the vehicle, tap your card on the validator, and you’re good to go. Together with ČSOB, we have simplified fare payment and travel in nearly twenty Czech cities—and we are also expanding abroad.
We delivered a gift card aggregator to Mafra for their retail partners, providing an end-to-end solution—from card issuance to acceptance on partner payment terminals.
At the beginning of the 2000s, the commercially successful MOL Group faced the challenge of harmonizing card payments across its extensive network of filling stations.
