We have a solution for you
We have long specialized in chip card technologies, which we apply to highly secure solutions, especially in the finance and e-government segments, but also in various transaction scenarios in the retail world, in the academic environment, or healthcare.
We are now transferring this experience to the new space of mobile technologies. We believe that thanks to our knowledge, dramatically developing mobile platforms can be not only user-friendly but also a secure and security-creating entry point for people into the digital environment.
Our story
There were 7 of us and we believed that chip cards were a logical part of the future of the digital world.
We started with the Electronic Wallet project for Česká spořitelna – the first chip payment cards in the Czech Republic. We focused on the design of the security concept and central chip card systems.
We also applied this experience to the project of the first hybrid card in the Czech Republic – Maxkarta for Poštovní spořitelna. We were also the first to connect a cash register with a terminal in the Delvita supermarket.
We transferred the electronic wallet concept to fleet solutions in a distributed environment without guaranteed connectivity, while also meeting “multi-party security” conditions.
For Slovnaft, we designed a concept for accepting private and payment cards on a single terminal and provided complete services from card issuance through management to acceptance at the terminal. Two years later, we delivered a similar system to Benzina, including a loyalty system.
In 2005, together with ČSOB, we applied the technology of accepting fleet and bank cards in the “Toll Collection System in the Czech Republic” project. Two years later, we delivered this system to Skytoll in Slovakia.
For card issuance and acceptance, we also built the ASORS central transaction system for managing and authorizing ČSOB payments. In the world of bank cards, we were among the first to build a central transaction system for managing and authorizing payments for the entire ČSOB network on the Enterprise Linux platform. We still manage and develop the system today; it manages more than 60,000 payment terminals and processes almost two million transactions daily.
We were among the first to use Linux as the basis for a solution in an Enterprise environment (including Linux filesystem for implementing the DB engine), for a system typically running on heavy UNIX mainframes or Windows NT. This provided us and the customer with unprecedented flexibility and also significant savings.
We headed to Africa and South America. In cooperation with ČSOB, we launched a system for accepting contactless EMV cards in public transport in several cities in the Czech Republic.
Subsequently, we launched the first solution of this type on the African continent – in Lagos, Nigeria. We deployed the Switchio City branded solution in subsequent years in Santiago de Chile, Poland, and headed to other countries.
We achieved great success and recognition for our Switchio electronic payment processing platform. We established a strategic partnership with Mastercard in the first European IDBT-project.
EV Charging – Payment with Bank Cards for Electric Vehicle Charging
We applied our specialization in digital identity in the field of eGovernment. For the State Printing Works of Securities and the Ministry of the Interior, we supplied central systems for the personalization of electronic documents with biometric elements according to ICAO standards (passports, residence permits) and the infrastructure for their security.
