A strong team, long-standing know-how and innovation behind many widely used solutions. With these words from the expert jury, we received the main prize in the national round of the prestigious Company of the Year 2025 (Firma roku) competition at Žofín Palace in Prague on 11 December 2025.
“Our products contribute to the security and convenience of everyday life. They work quietly and unobtrusively, yet they are built on robust, carefully engineered solutions. I see this title as confirmation that they are indispensable to their users, and also that I work with brilliant colleagues. This award reflects the quality of their everyday work,” says Jan Vavrys, CEO of MONET+.
MONET+ digital identity and payment solutions are used in government institutions, the financial sector, critical infrastructure, healthcare facilities and private companies, and their impact is anything but small. We currently support 5.5 million bank identities in the Czech Republic, process more than 1.8 billion transactions a year and authorise payments worth over EUR 100 billion annually. Thanks to Monet+ solutions, payments from more than a quarter of a million terminals are processed around the world. The company also plays a significant role in digitalising public administration: more than 31 million electronic identity documents have already been issued in the Czech Republic using our technologies. Over 180,000 employees protect their digital identity at work with products from our standalone ProID line. And that’s not all. Under our own Switchio brand, we enable open-loop payments for electric vehicle charging and, for example, buying tickets with a payment card directly on public transport. With our eSign service, we provide the highest level of electronic signature under the EU eIDAS regulation.
“I value this title especially because it isn’t a paid PR activity. You have to prove your qualities against other excellent companies. It’s a pleasant moment to pause and catch your breath, with a good feeling about a great result,” says Jan. However, in an industry as dynamic as the digital world, there is no room for a long pause. “We have to anticipatewhere technology is heading so that we stay ahead and, through work well done, continue to grow together with our customers,” he adds. Alongside further development, we are now also focusing on expanding the distribution network for our product lines. This includes the Czech Republic, but above all international markets, where some of our solutions are already in use in more than 50 countries.
Company of the Year is not the only award Monet+ won in autumn 2025. At the end of November, the Ministry of Transport’s project Delivery of Driving Licences to Parcel Lockers, to which we made a significant contribution, succeeded in the eGovernment The Best 2025 competition. We also brought home the Digital SME Tech Solution Award from the CEE25 SME Banking Conference in Warsaw for our alternative SCA method, the USB Hardware Token.
